Border talks between CMs of Meghalaya & Assam will take place in May: Conrad

Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday informed that the border talks between the two chief ministers will take place in the month of May.

Sangma said he has always been talking to the Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at a personal level and that the communication in fact has already started.

“But officially, we will try to work it out sometime in the later part of April or maybe around the month of May,” he said.

“We can start the process and discussion because we would like the regional committees to sit down and do our homework, get familiar with all the issues. We expect in the month of May we can start in April also but we just want to do our homework well,” he added.
