Misuse of red beacon light by unauthorized persons in public roads highlighted

Meghalaya working president of the Human Rights and Anti-Corruption Youth Power of India Kingstone Bolwari on Friday demanded action against the misuse of the red beacon light by unauthorized persons in public roads.

 

In a letter to the chief secretary DP Wahlang, Bolwari said, “It is therefore humbly request your good office to issue the necessary instruction to all the concerned department/authorities/police department to check the individuals and any unauthorized persons (individuals from misused of such red light and siren in the public road so as to avoid the traffic congestion and inconvenience created to the citizen at large due to misused of the red light and siren by an unauthorized person and to take strong action against such individuals an unauthorized person for violation of the order of the Supreme Court dated.10.12.2013 and subsequent notification dated.07.03.2014 issued by the Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya.”

 

He said, “The practice of VIP culture should be discouraged in the state as each and every citizen of the state are required and more importantly to safeguard and protect the article 141 of the constitution and for the interest of the citizen as a whole.”
