One person died while several others sustained injury when a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number AS01BB6077 collided with an autorickshaw bearing number ML08G6579 on Thursday morning.
The accident took place at Asanang, about 18 kms from Tura.
The deceased was identified as Genda Ch Marak of Matchurigre in West Garo Hills.
According to the eyewitnesses, the Bolero was recklessly speeding down the road when it collided head-on with the auto rickshaw, causing a catastrophic impact.
