Over 300 cameras to be install in Shillong for Govt to monitor the city

Meghalaya Chief Minister on Wednesday informed that the State Government is planning to have Integrated Command And Control Centre(ICCC) where over 300 cameras will be installed throughout the city to monitor the city and not just the traffic movement but also different kind of situations.

 

Addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of road projects, the CM said, the project will be inaugurated by the end of this calendar year.

 

” We are planning to have Integrated Command And Control Centre(ICCC) this is the state in of the art system where there will be have a massive screen in one big hall and we will be monitoring the entire Shillong city with over 300 plus cameras,” The Chief Minister said.

 

CM Sangma informed that it will be a State of the art project under the smart city mission which will completely be an IT based Command And Control centre.

 

“The traffic congestion, the traffic movement, different kind of situations so it will be completely IT based Command And Control centre which will be part of the smart city project and we expect this project to be inaugurated before the end of this calendar year,” he added.
