Police recovers body of Rishad Sing Kharmuttee of Mawdiangdiang from a drain at Boucher Road

The body of Rishad Sing Kharmuttee of Mawdiangdiang was recovered from a drain at Boucher Road, Shillong on August 14, police said on Wednesday.

 

His body was shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong for identification and for conducting PM examination. On the same evening, the dead body was identified by the family members to be that of the missing person (Lt) Rishad Sing Kharmutee, they said.

 

Rishad went missing on August 11 and he was last seen at Tynring Bus Stand, Iewduh.

 

On Tuesday, inquest and post mortem examination over the dead body was conducted at Shillong Civil Hospital, Shillong.

 

Police informed that the PM examination opined that there was no external or internal injuries on the body adding that no eye was gouged out as reported by some media reports.

 

It was found that he had Ecehymosis of the heart and samples have been sent to FSL for analysis.

 

A UD Case has been registered at Shillong Sadar Police Station and a thorough enquiry is on to ascertain more facts into the case.
