The Special Operation Team (SOT) of South Garo Hills on Thursday apprehended two individuals and recovered weapons from their possession.
“Based on credible source inputs during the investigation of Silkigre PS case no. 01(05)2023, U/s 341/323/394/34 IPC, R/w Sec 25(1)(B)(a) Arm Act, Special Operation Team of SGH DEF today intercepted 2 (two) persons,” Police said.
Two individuals apprehended are Chengsang M. Marak, resident of West Garo Hills. and Sengchang N. Sangma, resident of South Garo Hills.
Police recovered two country made grenades and one Chinese Pistol from their possession.
“Matter under investigation,” police added.
