In a suspected case of food poisoning, as many as 40 local residents of Nongkhrah village in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya were hospitalized on Monday.
These people were admitted at both Civil Hospital Nongpoh and Bethany Hospital Nongpoh for immediate treatment.
According to sources, it was informed that the residents of Nongkhrah were being infected after they attended one wedding party which was held on February 11 in the village.
It was also informed soon after they consumed food in the wedding party and many people fall ill and suffering of Diarrhea and vomiting.
