The Voice of People Party (VPP) president Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit on Thursday ruled out any possible tie up with BJP and NPP.
With two short of majority mark, BJP-NPP alliance has approached all like- minded parties, however, for VPP is a big ‘No for NPP.’
Talking to Meghalaya News 24, Basaiawmoit said, “Under No circumstances we will work with NPP.”
Reacting to the hype that the newly formed Voice of the People Party (VPP) created and ultimately won four seats, he said, “ Others didn’t’t expect us because they thought we will win only two- three seats but for us it is not a surprise because we expected more. “
The newly-formed political parties – Voice of People Party (VPP) has won four seats — Adelbert Nongrum (North Shillong), Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit (Nongkrem), Brightstarwell Marbaniang (Mawlai) and Heaving Stone Kharpran (Mawryngkneng).
