Meghalaya BJP hails appointment of Vishnu Deo Sai, a tribal, as chief minister for Chhattisgarh

BJP Meghalaya chief spokesperson Mariahom Kharkrang on Friday drew people’s attention towards BJP’s choice of Vishnu Deo Sai, a tribal, as chief minister for Chhattisgarh and said that this is one more reason why the tribal communities across the nation, North East particularly, must throw their weight behind the current Prime Minister during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

“This is a country with a sizable tribal population spread across many states, with most North Eastern states being tribal majority. Yet, successive central Govts had ignored our aspirations for over 70 years. Enter the Narendra Modi led BJP Govt. at the center and everything seems to have changed. From the first tribal President of the Indian Union to the first tribal chief minister of a mainland state, tribal empowerment as promised by the Prime Minister is taking shape. We, the tribes of India, can now dare to dream bigger.”

“With the BJP set to increase seat share in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and the Prime Minister

Narendra Modi at the helm of affairs once again, we can only expect greater empowerment and increased developmental schemes for tribal people,” Kharkrang concluded.
