Congress chief and Shillong MP Vincent H Pala on Wednesday said he will remain and contest from a Congress ticket in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
Speaking to reporters here, Pala said that many people have tried to woo him but he is not cheap.
“Many people tried to convince me, many people tried to woo me but I am not very cheap. I started off as a simple layman, I cannot just get carried away by a party. I will remain with the Congress and I will always remain with the Congress only provided that the Congress will throw me out. That is a different issue but there is no question of me contesting from other political parties,” he said.
