West Garo Hills Police on Wednesday arrested another person in relation to Tura violence.
Police arrested one Dominic A Sangma (39), S/o Kadot Marak. He is a resident of Williampur, PS – Tikrikilla.
Police said he has been arrested in the mob violence case today. With this the number of arrestee has gone upto 50.
It may be mentioned that after the Chief Minister’s meeting in Tura a group of people created ruckus at CM’s Secretariat, pelted stones and destroyed as many as 21 vehicles, including five from the CM’s convoy, on Monday. Many individuals having affiliations with different political parties as informed by the Police have been arrested in connection with the Tura violence case .
