The Election Commission has transferred the North Garo Hills Superintendent of Police Bruno Sangma.
This order came in wake of a complaint file by Social Activist Nilberth Ch. Marak with Election Commission of India 9ECI) against North Garo Hills SP for alleged violation of model of conduct.
Considering the panel of officers proposed by the Home (A) Department, Government of Meghalaya, the ECI has approved the name of Abraham T Sangma, Commandant, 2nd MLP Bn Georagre to be posted at the Superintendent of Police, North Garo Hills.
“Abraham T Sangma shall join the duty immediately. A confirmation shall be obtained from the state Government and sent to the commission by 5 PM on 11.04.2024,” the order said.
